Letter to the Ranchland News – 6.10.07
School is out, the weeds are getting taller and Falcon Fest has just kicked off the summer season in style. It was a tremendous privilege to meet so many wonderful folks at the Falcon Fest this past weekend and what a super day it was!
For me, the political season is getting fully underway and as my campaign for El Paso County Commissioner, District 2 continues to gain momentum, I relish these kinds of community events at which I can meet so many of you, the voices of this diverse district, and discuss the vital issues most important to us all. One of the most important aspects of my campaign is to provide passionate, real representation for each member of our District 2. I believe that your county commissioner must be an advocate for you. You hire your commissioner to represent your interests and to work hard to provide the most responsible and efficient county services possible. Your commissioner must also be available when you call and must provide a voice for you within the county leadership.
I offer this leadership with my conservative principles, my experience and my desire to make a real difference. I am excited to take this on and I am driven to serve effectively and intelligently. There are many issues for us to discuss and I look forward to the coming months. I will be listening and I will be sharing my vision with all of you.

I ask for your financial support as well as your votes so that I may represent you. I also encourage you to contact me at 659-2419 to schedule a “meet and greet” with your colleagues and friends.
Thank you, for your hospitality and warm comments at Falcon Fest. Thank you to those of you who asked the tough questions and those who have already offered your support! I will work hard to earn your support and more importantly, I will work hard to keep it!
Amy Lathen
Republican Candidate for County Commissioner, District 2
